Chemchemi Ya Ukweli conducted two Civic education and budget making process activities in preparing for upcoming general elections in Kenya. These activities was conducted in partnership with (RAPADO) in Migori and (CHIKUOYO) in Nyamira counties. The meetings were well attended by representatives from Religious leaders, Youth, women leaders and community based organizations CBO’s). Objective of the project is, to promote the expansion of civic engagement spaces towards accountable and inclusive democratic practices in Kenyans by;

• Contributing to the selection of credible leaders through a free, fair and transparent General Election in 2017
